Junior welterweight contender Breidis Prescott (24-2, 19KOs) flipped his lid after reading a recent article on BoxingScene.com, where WBA/IBF champion Amir Khan gave the opinion that Paul McCloskey (22-1, 12KOs) would defeat the Colombian boxer on September 10 at the Odyssey Arena in Belfast. Khan was knocked out by Prescott in 54-seconds in 2008, but the British boxer won a six round technical decision over McCloskey in April of this year.

"I really think Paul McCloskey is going to be careful in the fight. He's not going to make the mistakes that I made in the fight against Prescott. He's going to come out with his jab and think about it. I've got my money on Paul McCloskey in this fight," Khan told Sky Sports Ringside. "Since Prescott has beaten me, he's lost two or three fights. I know one fighter who beat him is Kevin Mitchell. I really think McCloskey is very tricky, very awkward, and he'll put his punches together quite well and beat Prescott."

Prescott responded, throwing verbal jabs at Khan, his father Shah, and the entire Team Khan Army.

"I bet you do have your money on McCloskey because you are a sissy. Anything that prevents you from fighting me again. You are a punk, your father is a punk and your whole team is full of punks. Especially your father, who babies you and that's the reason you have grown into a real fag. And you were right, the mistake you made was fighting me," Prescott said.

"Now if you are a man, after I beat McCloskey in his hometown and knock him dead like I did with you in your hometown - lets fight in December. You do all of this talking but you scared to fight. If you don't fight me, I will spit in you and your punk father's face."
