Vladimir Hryunov, manager of Alexander Povetkin (21-0, 15 KO), says his boxer is already getting ready for what might be a possible fight with WBA heavyweight champion David Haye (25-1, 23 KO). Haye plans to fight on May 21 in Engalnd. The mandatory challenger, Ruslan Chagaev (27-1-1, 17 KOs), may not be able to receive approval from the British Boxing Board, due to Hepititis B being present in his blood.

"Preparations have already been outlined with a plan to fight Haye, but we'll play it out if we feel confident that the fight will happen. For now, I can not assess the chances of Alexander in the fight against Haye. But when the fight is certain, we will proceed to implement the plan," Hryunov said. "The most realistic scenario is the fight takes place on British soil. You have to understand that David Haye dictates the terms. However, based on the initial contacts with our camp, I can say that negotiations about a possible fight will be more enjoyable and more effective than our previous talks with the management of the Klitschko brothers."
