Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer has advised BoxingScene.com that he  finalized a tripleheader for September 12th, with three high stakes contests taking place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The card will be presented as a fight week appetizer, being presented two days before the huge Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Saul Alvarez Showtime Pay-Per-View, also being staged at the MGM. The tripleheader will be televised by Fox Sports 2 (formerly known as Fuel TV).

In the main event, a welterweight rematch between Shawn Porter (21-0-1, 14KOs) and Julio Diaz (40-8-1, 29KOs). They fought to a draw last December in Los Angeles. Porter came back  in May to win a lopsided decision over previously undefeated Phil Lo Greco, while Diaz came close to shocking Amir Khan in April - but found himself on the losing end of a very close twelve round decision.

Super middleweight contender Badou Jack (15-0, 10KOs) steps up in class to fight his most dangerous opponent to date, when he enters the ring against Marco Antonio Periban (20-1, 13KOs), who suffered his first career defeat in June. Periban faced Sakio Bika for the vacant WBC title and lost a close twelve round majority decision. The winner hopes to get secure a major title shot next.

Rounding things out, a battle of undefeated junior middleweight prospects with Hugo Centeno Jr. (19-0, 10KOs) taking on Julian "J Rock" Wiliams (13-0-1, 7KOs) - someone will lose their "0"

BoxingScene's Francisco Salazar had previously reported that Porter-Diaz II and Centeno-Williams was being put together for September.
