Monumental Plaza de Toros in Ciudad Hidalgo, Michoacán de Ocampo, Mexico - Former champion Julio Cesar  "Pingo" Miranda (37-8-2, 29KOs) and Juan Jose "Goofy" Montes (23-3-1, 14KOs) fought to a twelve round draw in a bout for the vacant WBC International super flyweight title. Both hard their moments and the fight was close. The scores were 115-111 Montes, 114-113 Miranda and 113-113 for the draw.

In the co-feature, former champion Tomas Rojas (40-14-1, 26KOs) stopped Jaderes Padua (8-2-1, 5KOs) in the sixth round, when he landed a combination of a hook to the body followed by a big left on the chin.

Middleweight contender Marcos Reyes (27-1, 22KOs) knocked out Eric Mitchell (23-9-1, 11KOs) in the sixth round of a middleweight contest.
