Amir Khan and Julio Diaz both made weight for Saturday night's welterweight main event at Motorpoint Arena in Sheffield, England.
Both fighters weighed just over 142 lb. Khan tipped the scales at 10 stone, 2 pounds and 2 ounces, while Diaz was slightly heavier at 10 stone, 2 pounds and 3 ounces.
Khan (27-3, 19KO) returns to jolly old England for the first time since his stoppage win over Paul McCloskey in April 2011. The former 140 lb. titlist is in search of his second straight win, having overcome a two-fight losing streak to stop then-unbeaten Carlos Molina in 10 rounds last December.
Diaz (40-7-1, 29KO) appeared on the Khan-Molina undercard, impressively holding Shawn Porter to a 10-round draw in their televised welterweight battle. The former lightweight titlist is unbeaten in his past three fights since returning to the ring last summer.
In the evening's co-feature, unbeaten Deontay Wilder faces Audley Harrison in a matchup of Olympic medalists. Wilder (27-0, 27KO) tipped the scales at a chiseled 224.5 lb, while Harrison showed up at a trim and fit 236.4 lb.
Wilder did his best to rally the troops, screaming "BOMB SQUAD" (the name for his camp and followers) immediately after hitting the scales and again during the face-off with Harrison. The two exchanged friendly trash talk while posing for the cameras.
"You may be great one day, but not now," Harrison said to the American contender.
"It's my time, baby," was Wilder's succinct response.
Both bouts will air live on Boxnation in the United Kingdom. Khan-Diaz will air via tape-delay on Showtime as part of a televised tripleheader, with the other leg taking place live in Brooklyn, New York and headlined by the 140 lb. title fight grudge match between Danny Garcia and Zab Judah.
