Marco Huck and Firat Arslan successfully made weight for the highly anticipated cruiserweight title fight rematch Saturday evening in Stuttgart, Germany.
Both fighters were slightly heavier than their official weights for their first encounter in Nov. '12, but still under the 200 lb. cruiserweight limit. Huck (36-2-1, 25KO) weighed in at 199.5 lb. for the 12th defense of his cruiserweight title reign, which dates back to Aug. '09. The 43-year old Arslan came in at 198.6 lb.
Anticipation has grown with the boxing public, as more than 10,000 tickets have been sold for Saturday's affair, which will be televised in more than 60 countries. The United States was recently added to that tally, as the show will be picked up live via webcast on ESPN3.com.
It's clear that both fighters have grown increasingly eager to meet again; the two had to be separated during Friday's weigh-in after harsh words were exchanged during the normally obligatory stare down.
Also on the, British heavyweight David Price (248.6-pounds) makes his Sauerland Event debut against late replacement Itsvan Ruzsinsky. His opponent Ruzsinsky will weigh-in later today.
