Houston, Texas - The weights are in for Saturday's HBO televised middleweight showdown. Undefeated WBC champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (43-0-1, 30KOs) will make the first defense of his title against Peter Manfredo Jr. (37-6, 20KOs) at Reliant Arena in Houston. Chavez came in at 159.8-pounds, while Manfredo half a pound under at 159.5. The card is promoted by Top Rank, in association with Zanfer Promotions, DiBella Entertainment and Tecate.

The comebacking former welterweight champion Joshua Clottey was 156-pounds, and opponent Calvin Green was 156.5.

Unbeaten prospect Wale Omotoso came in 148-pounds - which is one pound over the contracted weight fo 147. Lanardo Tyner weighed in at 145.7, well under the welterweight limit. The unbeaten prospect returned one hour later to come in at 147 on the dot. 

Larry Smith weighed in at 152.7, while resurging Mexican prospect Jose Pinzon was 154.5-pounds.
