Tension was rife as Tony Bellew and Danny McIntosh weighed-in for their British light heavyweight title fight at the Echo Arena in Liverpool, live on Sky Sports 1HD.

Champ Bellew was livid yesterday when McIntosh failed to show up at the pre-fight press conference, and the Liverpudlian whipped up the crowd at the weigh in when the pair squared up for the cameras.

McIntosh stood firm and both men vowed to leave nothing in the ring tomorrow night, as The Big Bang takes centre stage.

“I’m going to absolutely destroy him tomorrow – he’s in for a horrible night,” said Bellew. “That really annoyed me yesterday when he didn’t show up. It’s unprofessional and disrespectful. I don’t care what he does to me with mind games, he’s not in my head – but he let people down yesterday and I’m going to make him pay.”

McIntosh retorted: “Yesterday was out of my hands, I had problems with my car. He’s running his mouth about me disrespecting him, I don’t really care about that as I’m going to do a lot worse on Friday night. His fans were giving me stick too but they won’t have anything to celebrate tomorrow.”

McIntosh weighed in first, tipping the scales at 12st 6lb 10oz, with Bellew coming in just under the Norwich challenger at 12st 6lb 8oz.
