Polish heavyweight giant Mariusz Wach (31-1, 17 KOs) is training hard in camp for his scheduled fight on November 4 in Kazan, when he battles with WBC silver champion Alexander Povetkin (29-1, 21 KOs) of Russia.

The fight is very interesting contest and one that Povetkin is taking in order to prepare for a mandatory shot at WBC champion Deontay Wilder. Povetkin takes a big risk, with a loss costing him a guaranteed title shot.

Wach's has only one defeat on his record, to the current king of the heavyweight division Wladimir Klitschko. Wach has stayed busy, winning four fights in a row since he returned to the ring in 2014. After the Klitschko fight in 2012, he was banned for failing drug test and spent nearly two years out of the ring.

Povetkin's only career defeat was also inflicted by the hands of Klitschko, in 2013. Povetkin has won three fights in a row since.

Neither Wach or Povetkin have been knocked out. Both fighters have good chins. A win for Wach can put him right back in the mix for a major payday, including a title shot at Wilder.
