Shishkin started aggressively, coming forward and throwing heavy punches. Shishkin was happy to box, move and use his jab. The second and third saw the fight heating up, as Shishkin was more willing to stand and trade with Uzcategui. Shishkin was starting to land more often with heavy punches.

Shishkin was able to counter often during the fourth, as an aggressive Uzcategui pressed forward. More trading during the action in the fifth, with Shishkin landing more. Shishkin outboxed Uzcategui during the sixth and seventh.

The eight was close, with the two boxers trading in close and landing well. Shishkin was landing and holding in the ninth, but also getting clipped at times with big shots. In the tenth, Uzcategui was starting to rally to turn the tide as Shishkin's output had declined.

A close eleventh, with both connecting well. The twelfth saw Shishkin carefully picking his shots to the final bell.
