Hermosillo, Son. - In a press conference that attracted wide attention - the excitement, the nerves and motivation were the common factors felt between all of the participants, promoters, media and even fans on Thursday. World champion, Hernán "Tyson" Marquez and his challenger, Edrin "Stinger" Daupudong, came face to face at their final press conference.

Hernan Marquez (30-2-0, 23 KOs) risks his flyweight championship of the World Boxing Association (WBA) for the first time against Edrin Daupudong (22-3-0, 13 KOs) in the main event of the bill called "Mexico vs. Philippines." Zanfer promotes the event, which takes place on Saturday at the Multipurpose Center (CMU) of the Sonoran capital, and broadcast throughout Mexico on TV Azteca, and beyond the borders through Fox Sports.

"I've had a great preparation for this fight because I'm world champion and I want to stay that way for a long time. I know my opponent will climb into the ring to die on the line because he wants to be world champion but I'm very motivated because of the people in Hermosillo. We had great preparation in the gym of Cochules in Los Mochis and because my company, Zanfer, has very good plans for me. I'm ready and I want to get in the ring on Saturday to get a big win over Daupudong," said Marquez.

"I respect Marquez, who is a great champion. I know he's very strong, and I saw him get crowned (by knockout in 11 rounds over Luis Concepción in April in Panama) and he showed a big heart, but also exhibited many weaknesses and I know how to attack him. I have the style to beat him and I hope people will enjoy the fight, but do not be offended when I beat their champion because I came very far," said Daupudong, earning the respect and the attention of those present.

Also present at the press conference were Daniel "Bad Boy" Rosas (11-0-0, 8 KOs) and Federico Catubay (26-18-3, 13 KOs), who will have their own version of the rivalry "Mexico vs Philippines" in a 10-round super flyweight weight.
