Mexicali, BC .- A great gift for the knowledgeable fans of Mexicali. The Mayor of Mexicali, Francisco José Pérez Tejada Padilla, formally received the April 2 card "with open arms." The card is being co-promoted by Top Rank and PR Best Boxing Zanfer. The card is headlined by a flyweight rematch for the World Boxing Organization (WBO) flyweight title between Mexican champion Giovanni "Aztec Warrior" Segura, and the Puerto Rican challenger Ivan "Iron Boy" Calderon.

At a press conference held Wednesday in a famous restaurant bar, the mayor himself was present and the chairman of the Boxing Committee of Mexicali, Alvaro Andrade, President of the Board of the Commission, Armando Apodaca, and COO of Zanfer, Guillermo Brito. The mayor said his administration has it as one their priorities, to support and promote sports and international boxing is an opportunity to reap benefits to Mexicali.

In the formal presentation of the event, the manager of Zanfer, Guillermo Brito, said that the event will also play the full of a charity function to benefit the newly created Commission Board for Mexicali Boxing, which us going to serve the medical needs of the participating boxers in events performed in this county.
