Unbeaten world champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez continues his fitness, with two months to ge before his makes the first defense of his super welterweight belt of the World Boxing Council (WBC).

Alvarez (36-0-1, 26 KOs) is set to defend against British southpaw Ryan Rhodes (45-4, 31 KOs), which is tentatively set for June 18 in Guadalajara, Jalisco, in a fight that promises fireworks because they are both strong and very good counterpunchers.

The "Canelo" comes every afternoon (3:00 pm) to train at the gym owned by his handlers Chepo and Edison Reynoso, who are watching close as Canleo began boxing on Monday for a total of four rounds.

Only this week and next will Canelo train in the capital of Jalisco, because on May 2 he will go to the mountains of Big Bear, California.

Saul Alvarez, who won his first world belt with a win over Mathew Hatton on March 5 in the U.S., continues studying videos of the dangerous Ryan Rhodes, a boxer who won his last four fights by KO.
