Mexico's former world champion Orlando "Siri" Salido took a quick detour ahead of his upcoming fight for the world super featherweight belt of the World Boxing Organization (WBO). He faces Puerto Rico's Roman "Rocky" Martinez on Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

The fight will be part of the Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Andre Berto Showtime Pay-Per-View undercard. Martinez captured the belt from Salido in a twelve round war back on April 11th in Puerto Rico. Salido (42-13-2, 29 KOs) vs. Martinez (29-2-2, 17 KOs) is the scheduled co-feature on Saturday.

Before he travels to Las Vegas tomorrow, Salido stopped off at trainer Freddie Roach's Wild Card Gym in Hollywood, California.

He found some heavy backup in the form of WBA cruiserweight champion Denis Lebedev who is training for his fall defense against Lateef Kayode in Russia and actor Mickey Rourke who is also training for a possible fight in the fall.
