Guadalajara, Mexico - "I'm stronger than ever and motivated to come out on top for the fans in my first defense," said Rigoberto Alvarez regarding Saturday's fight in which he defends his super welterweight title of the World Boxing Association (WBA) against mandatory Austin Trout of America.

"We trained with Canelo which has helped me a lot, but my challenger is strong and fast," Alvarez said. "I hope for the best and I want to be champion for a long time."

Austin Trout for his part said that Guadalajara was quiet and the capital "is much better than I had heard" and declared himself strong and on pace to win the belt.

The American boxer said that he feels 100%. "I'm always 100%. I feel strong and you will see everything on the day of the fight," said Trout.

At the press conference, Saul "Canelo" Alvarez shared his joy and pride in participating as a promoter in the second consecutive world title bout at the legendary Arena Coliseo in Guadalajara.
