WBA Intercontinental Middleweight Champion Patrick Nielsen (18-0, 8 KOs) and rising talent Dennis Ceylan (4-0, 2 KOs) held a press conference at NRGi Arena in Aarhus today. The two youngsters will be in action at the Nordic Fight Night on June 15.

“It´s great to be fighting at home,” Ceylan said. “I have been asking Nisse Sauerland to stage an event in Aarhus for quite a while and I´m glad I´ll finally get the chance to fight here. My transition from amateur to pro boxing has been very good. It´s great to fight professionally, it´s more fun, you can feel when you get hit and you feel when you hit your opponent. I really enjoy it. I will give my fans a great show on June 15.”

Nielsen will make the fourth defence of his WBA Intercontinental Middleweight Title. “I look forward to fighting in Aarhus. 2013 started well for me with a victory in Esbjerg and I want to follow it up with another good performance in Aarhus. I´ll train very hard and I will be in top shape.”

Promoter Nisse Sauerland said: “It´s great to finally come to Aarhus. I hear it´s a big boxing town, so we expect a lot of interest from the fans. As always, the Nordic Fight Night will be broadcast live in Denmark, Norway and Sweden, so we will put together a competitive and exciting card featuring the very best of Scandinavian boxing.”

Peter Kjærgård, director at NRGi Arena, said: “It´s good to have a boxing event back in town. We look forward to hosting the Nordic Fight Night on June 15.”
