The countdown has begun and there are only seven days before the historic duel between Jean Pascal Lucian Bute. As required by the regulations of the WBC, both boxers weighed in today - a week before their light heavyweght fight. At 11 am as planned, Bute came on the scale at a weight of 180.4 lbs.

"This is not a problem for me to make weight. My preparation went as it should and I am very happy," said Bute, who unlike his other camps stayed in Montreal. "It is true that I missed the Florida sun. I missed it, but here I worked hard and I'm ready to get in the ring."

Pascal came an hour later, and weighed in at 182.2 lbs.

"I'm here to beat him. This fight is not about money but about of honor," he added.
