Conlan dominated the first, starting very fast and connecting hard to drop Chanez during the action. The second round was more of the same. There was a brief pause after Chanez (4-5) went down due to a low blow and milked the opportunity to recover from the incoming punishment. Conlan continued to batter his opponent in the third, dropping him again near the end of the round and the fight was eventually waved off.

Conlan will now return on July 1 (July 2 in Australia) as part of the undercard to Manny Pacquiao vs. Jeff Horn, which will have an expected crowd of 50,000 at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane.

Junior welterweight prospect Alex Saucedo (25-0, 15 KOs), who is now trained by Abel Sanchez, won an eight round unanimous decision over Wilberth Lopez (18-8). Saucedo dominated the fight to get scored of 78-73 twice and 77-74.

Former WBO junior welterweight champion Mike Alvarado (37-4, 25 KOs) stopped Matthew Strode (24-5) in the second round. Alvarado dropped Strode in the first and put him away in the second round.

It was the first fight for Alvarado in nearly a year out, after winning an eight round majority decision over Josh Torres last June in Dallas, Texas.

Welterweight Egis "The Mean Machine" Kavaliauskas (17-0, 14 KOs) stopped a game Daniel Echeverria (19-5) in the seventh round. Echeverria was durable, but Mean Machine eventually broke him down, put him down and stopped him.
