SAN JUAN, PUERTO RICO – Unbeaten Luis “El Artesano” Cruz showed this afternoon his confidence for his clash against former WBO Junior Lightweight Champion Roman "Rocky" Martinez next April 16th in the Ultimate Rivalry show, stars by WBO Featherweight Champion Juan Manuel "Juanma" Lopez versus former champion Orlando Salido at the Ruben Rodriguez Coliseum in Bayamon in a Top Rank presentation, in association with PR Best Boxing Promotions (PRBBP) to be televised on Showtime.

Cruz (17-0, 14 KOs) will face Martinez (24-1-1, 15 KOs) in a bout to 12 rounds and qualifying for the WBO Junior Lightweight Title, hold by Scotland Ricky Burns.

“I'm very confident because training camp we have. I'm training since past December for Roman Martinez, I'm ready", Cruz said, before start training by Freddie Trinidad in the Caimito Gym.

Cruz worked today in floor exercises, shadows, sparred with trainer and hit the punching bag.

Otherwise, lightweight sensation José “Chelo” Gonzalez (14-0 y 10 nocauts) will face an opponent to be named at six rounds; former olympian Carlos Negron (11-0, 7 KOs) will make his second heavyweight fight when face Emerson Chasing Bear (4-1-2, 3 KOs), and also ex olympian Victor Bisbal (18-1, 13 KOs) will face Willie Herring (12-8-3, 3 KOs) in the heavyweights.

Two more fights will complete the show.
