WBO featherweight champion Orlando Salido (40-12-2, 28KOs), and undefeated prospect Vasyl Lomachenko (1-0, 1KO) went face to face at Saturday's post-fight press conference at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. Salido knocked out Orlando Cruz in seven rounds to capture the vacant WBO featherweight crown. Lomachenko made his pro debut and scored a fourth round knockout of veteran Jose Ramirez. Top Rank's Bob Arum wants to match Salido and Lomachenko on January 25th at the Theater in New York's Madison Square Garden. Lomachenko, a two-time Olympic gold medal winner, will attempt to win a world title in his second pro fight.
