Cancun, Q. Roo - At a press conference that had a great atmosphere, the main protagonists of Saturday's big event were greeted by a large group of media and fans, who gathered in the main hall of the Temptation Hotel in Cancun, Quintana Roo.

With the presence of Fernando Beltran, head of Zanfer, as well as Villasis Haren, special events coordinator of the Secretariat of Tourism of Quintana Roo, the atmosphere had a breath of class and international court. The event takes place on Saturday at the Plaza de Toros in Cancun, with the support of the State Government.

The main eventers of the card being televised by TV Azteca, Juan Manuel Marquez and Likar Ramos, did not exchange any friendly glances. They are waiting to enter the ring to prove who is the best. Also at the presser was the WBA flyweight champion, the Nicaraguan Roman "Chocolatito" Gonzalez and his challenger, Omar Salado, and Rafael Marquez, accompanied by his trainer, former world champion Daniel Zaragoza.

"What else can I ask for, than being in a place where all of people have received me very well. It's an honor and a pleasure to fight here, where many people are knowledgeable about boxing. We are going to bring a great fight, with every intention to win and celebrate the win with all of the peoplen," said Marquez, the current lightweight champion of the WBA and WBO.

Although asked repeatedly about the fight with Manny Pacquiao, who Marquez will challenger this November, the triple world champion said that he must take it step by step.

"Without rushing, first is the fight with Likar, which We must win and you then we'll think about Pacquiao. We like to take every challenge very seriously and this Saturday is no different," he said.

His rival, Colombian boxer Likar Ramos sounded very confident about his chances of success.

"Of course I maintain what I said, I'm here to win, I am 100% ready for this fight. He can't think about Pacquiao, he has to think about me first," Ramos said.

The fight between Juan Manuel Marquez (52-5-1, 38 KOs) and Likar Ramos (24-3-0, 18 KOs), scheduled for 10 rounds at lightweight, will be supported by the fight between Rafael Marquez (39-6-0 , 35 KOs) and Eduardo Becerril (12-7-2, 4 KOs), set for 10 rounds at featherweight, and the title defense by "Chocolatito" Roman Gonzalez (28-0-0, 23 KOs), who defends his WBA flyweight title against Omar Salado (22-3-2, 13 KOs).
