From the Centennial Sports Center in Los Mochis, Sinaloa, La Casa del Boxeo will bring millions of Mexicans through their screens to watch the gala that is headlined by Jorge "Maromerito" Páez vs. Johnny "Vaquero" Navarrete.
The official weigh-in ceremony of all boxers was carried out without any problems on Friday and it was supervised and endorsed by the members of the Boxing Commission of Los Mochis, Sinaloa.
The fight between "Maromerito" Paez (39-8-2, 23 kos) and "Vaquero" Navarrete (32-8-1, 15 kos) has been agreed to take place over ten rounds at super welterweight.
"We have already met the agreed weight, I made it without any problems and came in less than 150 pounds as I continue to get in my workouts and my diet at 100 percent. I will lose more to come in for my next bout at 147 pounds, so I have to win no matter what it costs., I always give a spectacle, but this time with a victory" said Paez, who comes back from suffering two consecutive painful defeats against Carlos Ocampo and Antonio Margarito.
28-year-old Paez wants to close the year with a great victory and return to the road to a world welterweight title.
Navarrete, who last July in Ciudad Juarez gave a surprise defeat to "Juanito" Montiel, is ready for another upset win.
"I feel very strong and more confident than ever that I will defeat and retire Jorge Paez. It is my moment, I will not waste any opportunity and Jorge is one of them, I will give everything I have in the ring," said Navarrete.
