With the governing body ordering a second bout in the wake of July's majority draw, both fighters tipped the scales at 9st 8lbs [134-pounds] ahead of facing off again at the Manchester Arena - live on Sky Sports.

Crolla told Sky Sports afterwards: "I'm really happy. It's been a fantastic camp and I'm in the best shape of my career. I'm ready to be world champion on Saturday night.

"I can't speak Spanish but I've a great amount of respect for him and wish him luck. I want to leave nothing to doubt but I don't want to box outside of the game plan. Trust me, that will be enough to win.

"There are a lot of emotions and I handled them in the first fight. Darleys Perez is a great fighter and I can't walk in there fighting on emotions. I'll stay cool and let this atmosphere lift me.

"Last time out, I showed to everyone I can hold my own at that level. I always knew it but I've gone away and made myself a better fighter. I'll prove that tomorrow night.

"It's hard to put into words but it'd be a dream come true. It's a dream I've had since I watched the likes of Ricky Hatton in that arena. I'm blessed to have the support I do and I'm thankful. I hope to repay them on Saturday night."

Elsewhere on the card, Tyrone Nurse and Chris Jenkins weighed in for their British super-lightweight title bout at 10st and 9st 13lb 8oz respectively, while the promising Ryan Burnett weighed 8st 5lb 4oz ahead of bidding for the British bantamweight crown against Jason Booth, who came in at 8st 4lb 8oz.
