BoxingScene.com has been advised by members of Eloy Perez's team that they may consider facing the winner of the upcoming fight between Vicente Escobedo and Rocky Juarez.  The two former title challengers square off on Septemer 23rd in California in a bout televised by Telefutura.

Perez has been mentioned as a possible opponent for Adrien Broner, who has an HBO date secured for November 26th. Broner was supposed to fight in his hometown against WBO super featherweight champion Ricky Burns of England.  But Burns recently vacated his title and announced a move in weight to 135-pounds.

Team Perez hasn't been happy with the offer they received to face Broner in his backyard.  While still interested in the fight, Perez may target the winner of the former title challengers if a deal to fight Broner can not be reached. According to Golden Boy,  HBO doesn't have any more room in their budget to increase their offer.
