Jose "Sniper" Pedraza (18-0, 12 KO's) is taking the upcoming fight with Michael Farenas (39-4-4, 31 KO's) very seriously. The two will battle on November 14th in a final IBF super featherweight eliminator in Hato Rey, Puerto Rico. Pedraza currently holds the IBO's title at the weight.

The winner of this fight will have the opportunity to IBF champion Rances Barthelemy of Cuba on or before April 2015. The champion fought on Saturday night, dominating Argentina's Fernando David Saucedo over twelve rounds on Showtime.

"He is an opponent who is one of the world's best. He is ranked second. He is strong with very good experience and is left-handed. He works fine with his straight left. And we've been working with that detail, trying to neutralize that hand which is what can make us work a little harder. But we understand that Pedraza's boxing ability and his speed [provides advantages]. And we hope in God that everything goes well," said his manager and coach, Luis Espada.

Pedraza-Farenas will be promoted by Universal Promotions. Jonathan 'Bomba' Gonzalez will also appear on the card against veteran Omar 'El Pastor' Soto .
