If everything goes well on Saturday night in Manukau City, New Zealand, Joseph Parker (20-0) could see himself facing IBF heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (17-0) or Olympic bronze medalist David Price in the United Kingdom on November 26th.

All that stands in the way of either of those high profile bouts is the 6'7.5" Alexander Dimitrenko whom Parker faces in a risky stay busy bout at the Vodafone Events Centre.  The young Kiwi insists that he is not looking ahead and will take care of the task at hand.

"You know that is always in the back of my head but I take it one fight at a time.  Dimitrenko is the most important fight for me now and my full focus is on him. If I can't get past him there is no use thinking of anyone else.  So my full focus is on Dimitrenko and I am going to be prepared for what he brings.  He is a big unit and he is going to come prepared and it is something that I am looking forward to," Parker told BoxingScene.com before a recent training session in Las Vegas Nevada.

It is starting to appear more likely that Joshua will face former long reigning champion Wladimir Klitschko in November, which would give Parker a chance to face Price and get acclimated to fighting in the UK before facing Joshua -should he defeat Klitschko or whoever else he faces- in a spring bout.

The 24-year-old Parker said that he is ready to fight Joshua as soon as possible but admits that there are advantages to getting a fight under his belt on Joshua's turf prior to their showdown.

"Fighitng at home I love it. The support we get is amazing. It is our backyard and it is great.  Hopefully everything goes well with Dimitrenko and we get the victory.  Fighting in the UK is very important because it will help us prepare and get used to the place for when we actually get the Joshua fight and fight for the title," said Parker.
