Jorge 'Maromerito' Paez will travel this weekend to Big Bear, California, to begin his training camp for the fight against four-time world champion Erik "Terrible" Morales on March 22 in Monterrey. Although Páez considered Morales as a his idol when he was growing up, he says the veteran's time is now over in pro boxing and he will certainly retire after they collide.

"Erik Morales is a boxer who reached the peak, go to the top and that is something we all want. I can confess that he is my idol. I grew up watching his fights, watching Erik Morales fight. It's a dream come true to face him. I'm going to give a good fight and this fight will be remembered for a long time. Erik is no longer the same, but the experience is there, and he also has a respectable punch, which makes him dangerous. I have something in my favor and that is youth, and also I have experience. I'm well motivated for that night. This is my time now," Paez said.
