An interesting cruiserweight clash is being discussed for September in Paris. Hometown hero Jean-Marc Mormeck (36-5, 22KOs) is trying to secure a fight against tough British boxer Ola Afolabi (19-2-4, 9KOs). Afolabi's trainer Fritz Sdunek told Figo Sport that that Mormeck is interested in the fight. Mormeck has been inactive since being knocked out in four rounds by heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko back in March. Afolabi fought to a twelve round draw with WBO cruiserweight king Marco Huck in early May.

"There have been negotiations, but certainty nothing is done yet," Sdunek said. "The fight could take place in Paris in September."
