In March of this year, Moises Fuentes traveled over to Cebu City in the Philippines to challenge WBO junior flyweight champion Donnie Nietes (32-1-4, 18KOs) at the Waterfront Hotel & Casino. The very competitive fight ended in a twelve round majority draw. The World Boxing Organization has now ordered a rematch between the two boxers.

Fuentes (19-1-1, 10KOs) says the rematch is going to take place in Mexico, based on what he was told by his promoter Fernando Beltran of Zanfer Promotions. A March date is possible for the contest.

"I will fight [the rematch] in Mexico, I talked my coach Jorge [Barrera] who spoke with [Fernando] Beltran, President of Zanfer Promotions, and he said it's going to be in Mexico. We had the option to do it again in the Philippines or in Macau, but it will definitely be at home," said Fuentes.
