The last week of training is coming to a close, but veteran trainer Nacho Beristáin is worried with the lack of precision and speed from Juan Manuel Marquez (53-6-1, 39KOs). Nacho says Marquez is usually much sharper and quicker with his punches. Marquez faces Sergey Fedchenko (30-1, 13KOs) on April 14th at the new Arena Mexico in Mexico City - for the vacant interim-WBO junior welterweight title.

“[Juan Manuel] has me a little worried because I am used to seeing him be more precise, and a little faster. The people [in the gym] believe Juan is fast, but it's because he puts his combinations together so well, and that's why they come out so fast. I have already seen that he's a little off with his balance, but he told me it's because he's throwing punches with a lot more force. We need to recover his fight rhythm, so he can be more relaxed," Nacho said.

“I believe the fight will be complicated at first, because Mexican boxers are not used to [facing] a European fighting style, but I trust entirely that Juan is going to solve [the puzzle]. I do not like giving predictions. God willing we are going to win, and the only thing that I want is for the people to get what they deserve - a good fight."
