PARKEN will be packed with celebrities on Saturday night when WBC Super Middleweight World Champion Emeritus Mikkel Kessler makes his hotly-awaited comeback against WBO #5 Mehdi Bouadla. Caroline Wozniacki, Peter Schmeichel and Michael Maze are just some of the VIPs that will be ringside for the return of the Viking Warrior. “We are delighted that not only the whole country but also Denmark´s finest sporting icons are rallying behind the Viking Warrior,” promoter Kalle Sauerland said. “Mikkel will need the usual full vocal support on Saturday to overcome the huge challenge Bouadla poses.” And he added: “The first bout after a long break is always tricky. The more backing Mikkel gets, the better. It will be a great evening at PARKEN on Saturday night – inside and outside the ring.”

Said Wozniacki: “I look forward to a great night of boxing at PARKEN. I was at Mikkel's last fight against Carl Froch, which was the most exciting I have ever seen, and I am thrilled that he is back from his injury. Mikkel´s fights are exciting to watch and I am sure he will beat Mehdi Bouadla and do us Danes proud on Saturday.”

Said Peter Schmeichel: “I can´t wait to see Mikkel in the ring again. He has been away too long and I am thrilled he is finally back. I am sure he will put on a great performance on Saturday.”

Said Michael Maze: “Mikkel´s comeback is great for Danish sports. It´s a shame he had to pull out of the Super Six tournament but he will make up for it with a big victory over Bouadla. Then he will take on – and out – the other champions and unify the division. I know Mikkel for a long time and I know what he is capable of doing, and that is why I look forward to Saturday night. It will be fantastic to see the Viking Warrior at PARKEN.”
