“I’m very excited to fight Aaron Pryor Jr. again on June 23,” said the popular Chicago native Jimenez. “The first fight was very close, we both thought we were victorious but the fans were the winners as they will be on June 23, an opportunity to see another great matchup a second time.”

“In the last couple of years I’ve fought in Las Vegas and Australia but there’s nothing like fighting in Chicago. The fans have always been very supportive going back to my amateur days.”

Stated Pryor about the rematch, "I felt strongly that I won the first fight. Let's face it, when you get a draw in someone else's home town, you won the fight! We are ready to do it again in June. This time, the judges won't be giving you a birthday gift.”

Said promoter Bobby Hitz, “Mike truly epitomizes the Chicago boxing ethic, he knows the fans loved the first fight and he wants to settle the score with Pryor. He jumped at the chance to fight him again when it was brought up as did Pryor.”

“Mike has been one of the most popular fighters in Chicago since he turned professional seven years ago and we’re expecting a huge turnout on June 23 to support him in the rematch as well as the other local fighters appearing on the card.”
