MGM Marbella has confirmed that it has released two fighters from its ranks.

Brothers Bradley and Jeff Saunders, who have respective records of 12-1 (9 KOs) and 7-0 (5 KOs), have both been handed back their contracts by the Spanish-based outfit.

“MGM have released Bradley and Jeff Saunders from their management contracts,” a short statement read on social media.

Bradley, the 30-year-old former WBO Inter-Continental super lightweight champion, began his pro career in stellar fashion, racing to 10-0 under the guidance of promoter Frank Warren.

He then left the Queensberry Promotions stable and joined Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Sport. Having made his Matchroom debut at Liverpool’s ECHO Arena back in November, 2014, Saunders, from Sedgefield, got a stoppage defeat in Hull last March before suffering his first defeat in the paid code last September.

Since being disqualified and injuring both hands in his defeat to Renald Garrido on September 19, Saunders hasn’t yet been back in the ring, but is believed to be training again.

His brother Jeff, his junior by six years, has only been pro just over 12 months and has an unblemished ledger to date, including his latest win that came last weekend at the First Direct Arena in Leeds when he went the distance with Tottenham’s Mark McKray.

The statement continued: “From this point in time, they will no longer be represented by MGM in any form.

“MGM wish them all the very best in their future careers."
