With just under two weeks to go until he challenges for the British light heavyweight title, Danny McIntosh sounded mean and moody when he spoke exclusively to Coldwell Boxing earlier today.

Cutting straight to the point, the Norwich fighter said, “I wanna smash his face in!” When talking about his opponent Tony Bellew, who he will square off with at Liverpool’s Echo Arena on Friday April 13th.

This time last month the former European 175lb champion told me that this fight was his last chance saloon.

And in speaking to him four weeks on it was clear that everything and the kitchen sink will be thrown at the champion.

“I’m ready to fight now! I could fight him tomorrow! I wanna beat the s**t out of him for all the things he said and especially for saying I was slagging off Liverpudlian’s which I wasn’t.

“Training’s gone to plan, I’m ahead of schedule and I’m training for any type of fight, be it one round or twelve.”
