Junior welterweight contender Paul McCloskey has attacked the recent reports where Amir Khan is discussing the possibility of fighting Floyd Mayweather Jr. in the near future. McCloskey lost a six round technical decision to Khan in April 2011. The match was stopped earlier due to a cut suffered by McCloskey from an accidental clash of heads. McCloskey, who came back with a victory over Manuel Perez last September, is slated to return in July.

McCloskey said on Twitter: “He struggled against Julio Diaz never mind his defeats, to Lamont Peterson and [the knockout] battering to Danny Garcia. Am I missing something? What a joke!"
