Details of the epic May 2 event in Las Vegas continue to trickle out. Hours before Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao collide in what will surely land as the most lucrative event in boxing history, a pair of unbeaten prospects will clash in a super middleweight affair.

Chicago's Mike Jimenez (16-0, 10 KOs) steps up in class as he takes on Jesse Hart (16-0, 13 KOs), a second-generation fighter from Philadelphia.

“This is going to be the biggest night in boxing’s history, and the biggest night of my career,” said Jimenez. “I’m honored to be a part of it. The stage doesn’t get any bigger or brighter than this, and I can’t wait to bring the USBA Super Middleweight belt back to Chicago.”

Added Bobby Hitz, Jimenez' promoter: “Mike is one of the top super-middle weight fighters in the world. On May 2nd, he’s going to show everyone what Chicago-area boxing fans have known for a couple years now; that he is a world class fighter ready to win championships.”

The televised portion of the undercard has not yet been confirmed, nor was it revealed whether this bout will make the telecast. Top Rank will have one fight on the undercard, while Mayweather Promotions will get the other.

Unbeaten prospect Chris Pearson - who fights under the Mayweather Promotions banner - recently revealed through his social media accounts that he too has received the call to appear on the show.

Before Jimenez performs in Las Vegas on the sport's biggest stage, he will be in the main event of Hitz Boxing’s Fight Night at the Horseshoe Casino in Hammond, Indiana on March 28, 2015.

“I will head to Las Vegas and win the USBA Super Middleweight title, but first I have some business to take care of in front of my fans,” added Jimenez. “On March 28th, the people at the Horseshoe Casino will get a preview of what’s to come when I face Jesse Hart.”
