The Sept. 8 card featuring a main event of Lucas Matthysse vs. Olusegun Ajose sold 2,439 tickets and brought in a total gate of $209,175, according to figures provided by the Nevada State Athletic Commission.

Figures for the number of tickets given away for free, as well as the number of tickets that went unsold, were not yet available.

The five-fight card was held at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and broadcast on Showtime. It initially was to have been headlined by Randall Bailey vs. Devon Alexander, but Bailey suffered an injury in training camp. That put the Matthysse-Ajose interim junior-welterweight title bout in the main event.

Matthysse topped Ajose, winning by 10th-round technical knockout. The victory brought his record to 32-2 with 30 knockouts and 1 no contest, while Ajose suffered his first defeat and fell to 30-1 with 14 knockouts.
