Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada - Junior middleweight Vanes Martirosyan (29-0, 18KOs) returned to the ring to stop Bladimir Hernandez (18-5, 16KOs) in the second round of the contest. Vanes dropped him for the full count. Because Hernandez was overweight at Friday's weigh-in, the fight took place at the middleweight limit.

Junior welterweight prospect Pier Olivier Cote (15-0, 10KOs) crushed Michael Lozada (37-8-1, 30KOs) in one round. He put Lozada down three times in the first before the fight was waved off due to the three knockdown rule.

Super featherweight Benoit Gaudet (24-2, 10KOs) won a six round technical decision over Adrian Verdugo (14-4-1, 11KOs). The scores were 58-56, 59-55 and 59-55. A clash of heads opened up a bad cut on Gaudet, which led to an early ending.

Unbeaten featherweight prospect Viorel Simion (13-0, 5KOs) had the toughest fight of his career but he managed to win a close eight round split decision over Pedro Navarrete (25-11, 14KOs). The scores were 75-73, 76-72 for Simion and 75-74 for Navarrette. The fight had fireworks, with Simion going down twice in the second, and then Navarrete going down in the sixth - but Simion lost a point in the same round for a rabbit punch.

Bantamweight contender Sebastien Gauthier (20-2, 13KO) knocked out Jovanny Soto-Ramirez (29-14-1, 23KOs) in the second round.
