LAS VEGAS—Juan Manuel Marquez, who hopes for a third chapter bout against Manny Pacquiao, probably here at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino and probably on Nov. 5 or 12, just confirmed a story which appeared on BoxingScene.com a few days ago.

“I am going to fight (former Pacman foe) David Diaz on July 2 and I will be the promoter of that fight. I just want to get really sharp to fight Pacquiao for the third time in November. I do not want to be rusty, I want to get myself extra sharp so I can show that I am the better fighter,” Marquez said.

In recent bouts, the master Mexican counterpuncher has beaten Juan Diaz and Michael Katsidis. Three bouts ago, he was widely decisioned the much bigger, much faster Floyd Mayweather Jr.
