Former interim-super flyweight world champion David 'Tornado' Sanchez will return on July 30 against Luis 'Panterita' Nery in the co-main event of the evening that will feature the junior middleweight fight between Antonio Margarito and Ramon 'Inocente' Alvarez.

Sanchez (29-3-2, 22 KO) will look for his second straight win after being dethroned by Panamanian Luis "Nica" Concepcion in September 2015, while Nery (19-0, 13 KO) is looking for a big win with the hope of landing a title fight.

Margarito and Alvarez have already reached an agreement and expect to announce their fight in the coming days, with the fight being held in the Arena Monterrey in Mexico.

Margarito (39-8, 27KOs) hopes a win over Alvarez (23-4-2, 15KOs) will lead to a fight with younger and former two division world champion Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez.

Margarito broke a four year retirement in March, when he returned to the ring to win a ten round unanimous decision over Jorge Paez Jr. in a junior middleweight contest in Mexico City.

The return of Margarito was not without a major scare. He was knocked down very hard in the sixth round and seemed to be very hurt from the punch. The moment came at the end of the round which may have been a blessing for the former welterweight world champion.

Alvarez was seen in the ring back in January, when he knocked out James Winchester in nine rounds of action in Rosarito, Mexico. He's built a win streak of nine fights, which includes names like Ben Tackie, Vivian Harris and Omar Chavez.
