This coming Saturday night at the "Manuel Bernardo Aguirre" Gymnasium in Chihuahua, Antonio "Tornado de Tijuana" Margarito (40-8-0, 27 KO's) will return to the ring against Carson "Mr" Jones (40-11-3, 30 KO's) in a ten round, super welterweight encounter that will be televised by the Casa del Boxeo, Azteca 7, as part of another great promotion by Zanfer Promotions with the support of the Municipal Government of Chihuahua.

Beyond Jones, Margarito is targeting a trilogy showdown with his Puerto Rican rival, Miguel Cotto, who plans to retire in December. Margarito handed Cotto his first career defeat with a stoppage victory, which the Puerto Rican boxer avenged in 2011 with a TKO win of his own.

"I am at my best level in years and with the conditioning to fight ten intense rounds. This fight is important for my plan to become world champion. I want to return to face Miguel Cotto in a third and definitive fight and Jones will not be the one who prevents me. We will win in a clear way, they will see the best version of Margarito and we will give a great fight to the fans," said Margarito.

Margarito said that this third fight since returning after four years of retirement, will be the true proof of what he can achieve at this stage of his career.

"I had a great preparation without any problems, I feel like I did in my best days... the power, the speed and the pace of the fight are exactly like a reflection of when I was world champion. I hope Jones will come to fight and not to run, and the fans will be witnesses of a great fight that I will win in a forceful way," warned the former two-time world champion, who is now 39 years old.

Meanwhile, 31-year-old Jones said he respected his rival's career but warned that he would be the one to leave the ring with his arm raised.

"I have more boxing ability, more speed, better pace and younger than Margarito. Not only am I coming to win, I am coming to secure a world ranking and to retire a Mexican boxing figure," said Jones.

Ramon "Innocent" Alvarez (24-5-2, 16 KO's) and Johnny "Vaquero" Navarrete (33-10-1, 15 KO's) will collide over ten rounds at super welterweight in the main co-featured fight.

"I'm coming with the unlimited spirit that great warriors have, because they rise from adversities and come back stronger. There are many plans for me and this Saturday I will give you a great fight and a victory," said Canelo's older brother.
