According to Gary Hyde, manager of Hassan N'Dam (31-1, 18KOs), a fight with Eammon O’Kane (12-1-1, 4KOs) for the vacant IBF middleweight title is a possibility.

N'Dam is the mandatory challenger to current champion Jermain Taylor. But the champion is facing some very serious legal issues in the United States and very few are expecting to see him in the ring again. The IBF is likely going to strip him of the belt.

Going down the list of top contenders, it's very possible that IBF #8 O'Kane is the only available contender to face N'Dam for the belt.

“Ndam will hopefully get a shot at the IBF World title as their champion Jermain Taylor is in trouble with the police in America. Ndam could face Eamonn O’Kane for the IBF belt. They are both very highly ranked by the IBF. We could have that fight in America, Belfast or even Derry,” Hyde told the Belfast Newsletter.
