Former junior welterweight champion Paulie "The Magic Man" Malignaggi appeared on the latest edition of The Boxing Lab, BoxingScene.com's official audio show.  Malignaggi faces WBA welterweight champion Vyacheslav Senchenko on April 29th at the Donbass Arena in Senchenko's native Ukraine.

The Brooklyn-born fighter said that at this point in his career he takes his future one fight at a time.  He didn't want to call the Senchenko fight a crossroads fight but revealed that he would love to fight at The Barclays Center on its inaugural fight card which is slated to take place in October.  The Barclays Center is located in Brooklyn and will be the home of the NBA's New Jersey Nets and will also host monthly boxing events. Malignaggi's promoter, Golden Boy Promotions, has a deal in place to promote the monthy shows.

"I am trying to not think about it too much as far as if its a crossroads fight or what happens if I win or lose. I do know that I want to fight at Barclays when it opens up," Malignaggi told The Boxing Lab.

Malignaggi is no stranger to the big stage.  He has faced the likes of Miguel Cotto and Amir Khan in New York and Ricky Hatton in Las Vegas. While his fight against Senchenko may not be headline grabber in the United States, Malignaggi points out that it is a huge fight in the Ukraine and at this point in his career the big fights are what he craves.

"I just want a big fight. I don't have anybody in mind in particular. I want a big fight in Brooklyn at The Barclays. The Senchenko fight will be a big event in the Ukraine. The fight will be inside of a full soccer stadium.  I know the Barclay Center opens in October and Golden Boy has the date and I want to be part of that," Malignaggi revealed.
