We welcomed Paulie Malignaggi to the most recent edition of BoxingScene.com's official audio show, The Boxing Lab.  The former welterweight champion spoke about his upcoming fight against WBA welterweight champion Vyacheslav Senchenko.  The fight takes place in Senchenko's home country of Ukraine on April 29th.  The fight will be available in the United States on Integrated Sports pay-per-view.

When talking about his opponent, Malignaggi admitted to us that he didn't know much about him.  He said that he hadn't seen Senchenko fight prior to signing his bout agreement.

"Senchenko has a typical European style. He's very robotic. He is what he is. I just have to go in there and box him. He is nothing special," stated Malignaggi.

We asked Malignaggi if he was worried about being able to win a decision in Senchenko's backyard. The New Yorker advised us that he is confident that his promotional team has taken the necessary precautions to ensure that the judges give him a fair shake.

"I try to go in there and fight my fight but of course you think about it, but I have a pretty powerful promoter in Golden Boy so I am confident that the judging will be fair. Put it this way, I won't be complaining like you saw me when I fought Juan Diaz in Texas."
