The WBA unification fight at super middleweight between Brian Magee and Karoly Balzsay appears to be off for the time being. Team Magee, who won the purse bids, had planned to stage the fight on July 7 in Copenhagen - but Universum and Balzsay have not yet returned a signed contract. Word out of Hungary is that the WBA regular champ never went into serious training as he is still recuperating from the very tough defense against Dimitri Sartison, which took place on April 21.

Don´t be surprised if the WBA strips Balzsay of the title and crowns, Magee, currently the interim ruler, as the new regular champ. With this title Team Magee can get several lucrative offers, particularly from Denmark where Brian has stopped both Mads Larsen and Rudy Markussen - so why not a third showdown there and against the Viking Warrior, Mikkel Kessler, himself?
