MGM Grand, Las Vegas - A very interesting encounter takes place on September 11th at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, when undefeated heavyweights Luis "King Kong" Ortiz (21-0, 18KOs) and Lateef Kayode (20-0, 16KOs) collide for the vacant WBA interim-championship. The fight will be televised by Fox Sports 1.

The winner of the match will move a step closer to a mandatory title shot against WBA 'regular' champion Ruslan Chagaev. Heavyweight king Wladimir Klitschko holds the WBA's super title at the weight.

Ortiz views the upcoming fight as the perfect opportunity to make a lasting impression with a brutal knockout. He sees no possibility of Kayode being capable of going the distance. And if Kayode's stamina starts to fade, Ortiz promises to end the fight quickly.

"I've seen one fight [involving Kayode] with my trainer. He claims to be a very aggressive fighter, but not when he has the real King Kong in front of him," Ortiz told BoxingScene.com. "He has two choices - if he gets tired he's going to die. And if he doesn't - he's going to die anyway."

"This is the fight that's going to put me in everybody's eyes. They are going to know who I am. I want to thank my management, I want to thank God, my team and Golden Boy - because I'm going to be the heavyweight world champion."

"I'm not a fighter who likes to talk. I like to do my actions in the ring. These other fighters they all know my name. The fans and media don't, but the fighters do. They know who I am and they respect me. I don't like to talk but I'm like that hot spicy sauce in their throat - that makes them think twice. I don't play around."
