World Boxing Council lightweight champion Jorge Linares (38-3, 25 KO) is carefully studying local lad Kevin Mitchell  (39-2, 29 KO), prior to their fight at the Arena O2 in London this Saturday, so he can chalk a victory and stay in a class of his own.

The “Golden Boy” will be facing the toughest fighter of his career, as challenger Mitchell is a proficient, intelligent boxer with a complicated style. Accordingly, Jorge is determined to inflict as well as instill top marks, to remain ruler.

Jorge Linares has a flexible yet disciplined style which doesn't include wild or rash improvisation. It's been drummed into him during countless sessions with his Trainer Ismael Salas.

Part of the all round preparation has also involved poring over an array of tapes of the British Challenger, in order to spot weakness and flaws and in so doing develop strategies, Linares now insists he's ready for anything.

“He's a complicated boxer as he uses both his hands well. He is also busy, throwing  punches all the time. But I am ready to counter everything, and also attack. I'm going for the KO,"  vowed Jorge.

Mitchell who outfought and overwhelmed Daniel "Tremendo" Estrada to earn his crack at the prestigious green and gold belt, has constantly commented through his social networks about his supreme confidence in conquering it.
