On June 20th Hassan N'Dam (31-1) and David Lemieux (33-2) will battle it out for the vacant IBF middleweight title. The title became vacant when Jermain Taylor had a plethora of legal issues outside of the ring which prompted  the IBF to strip him of his title.

The fight takes place in Lemieux's hometown of Montreal, Quebec at the Bell Centre. Montreal has been one of boxing's hottest markets in recent years.

David Lemieux sad that he's had a great camp and that he he is ready for whatever style N'Dam presents on the 20th. N'Dam is a slick fighter who usually uses a lot of footwork to outbox his opponents. Lemieux said that he will be fully prepared to combat anything N'Dam tries to implement.

"Training camp has been going great. It has been better than ever. I've had great training and sparring," said Lemieux. "We have been working on a lot of different things for N'Dam because he is a very good fighter. He is the type of fighter that can give you a lot of problems in the ring so we have been doing a lot of different things. I am very confident for this fight."

Lemieux wouldn't give too much away strategy wise when it comes to what he plans on doing to defeat his elusive opponent. He just emphasized that he will be ready regardless of what N'Dam tries to do.

"Punch him," Lemeiux told BoxingScene.com with a laugh when asked how he will slow N'Dam down. "And don't stop punching. We've been doing a lot of different things. We might put on pressure and if he comes to fight we will be ready. He can adapt very well. We have been working on everything - if we have to chase, if we have to move back, if we go to war, toe to toe. However I have to adapt in the fight I will be ready."

Lemieux-N'Dam takes place on June 20th and will be televised on pay-per-view in Canada and on FoxSports2 and FoxSports Deportes in the United States.
