IBF World Champion Lee Selby has labelled Josh Warrington ‘a little b*tch’ ahead of their historic Leeds clash this Saturday night, live on BoxNation.

The Welsh star will put his 126-pound title on the line when he travels up to Leeds United’s Elland Road to take on home town hero Warrington in front of 25,000 fans.

31-year-old Selby has been unimpressed with how his Yorkshire foe has acted in the build up and told iFL that he had words with Warrington when the pair came together during the final press conference.

"That’s what he is [a little b*tch]. That’s how he’s acting. He’s losing fans around the country, left, right and centre the way he’s been acting in these press conferences. He’s like a little school kid," said Selby.

He also dismissed claims that the pressure of fighting in front of such an intimidating and hostile atmosphere will be too much to handle.

"Don’t be silly – there’s no chance at all. They’ve never seen a fighter or person like Lee Selby. Anything can happen in boxing but I’m predicting a Lee Selby win. The main thing is coming back with that red strap," Selby said.

Should Selby come through the fight with the win, a possible match-up against Irish favourite Carl Frampton in Belfast has been mooted, with Selby more than happy to face the former two-weight World Champion.

"It’s possible – as long as I come through this fight unscathed I would be more than happy to go straight over to Belfast and defend this title again. That would be the perfect scenario for me," he said.
