Denis Lebedev believes victory over Roy Jones Junior on Saturday night in Russia will pave the way to another world title shot.

He lost in a WBO title challenge against Marco Huck last time out, but has vowed to bounce back against Jones.

The veteran American - who has won world titles from middleweight through to heavyweight - insists that he still has what it takes to beat his southpaw rival.

"Jones is still a dangerous fighter," said Lebedev, who suffered his first loss against Huck.

"I'll have to be at my best if I am going to win. But I will win and I will go on to challenge for another world title."

But Jones hit back by saying: "I'm going to put a good show, because it's all I know.

"I don't pay attention to the critics, how they treat me. They didn't give me my talent to become champion.

"I don't really have problems with southpaws. The only problem I have is how to spell their names.

"That's why we're fighting Denis on Saturday – to figure it out. You know, I can't have my face messed up too bad, 'cause my looks are my money"
